History

Logan Ulysess Koch was the first child of four, and only son to Marcus and Victoria (née Alderidge) Koch. He was followed by his sisters: the twins Emma and Elizabeth, and Samantha. The Koch family was a long time military family, from South Carolina; Marcus having been in the Marines - eventually retiring with the rank of Major General. The Alderidge family was an old oil family from Texas. The pair met during a charity event in Los Angeles and immediately hit it off. The children were brought up in wealth, privilege, and prestige; however they were taught from a very young age that neither of those things made them better than anyone else. They were always told to use that privilege for good and weren't allowed to just be trustfund babies.

For the most part, Logan was a good kid. He was very active and was usually found outside, climbing trees or playing in the river outside his family's home just outside Charleston, South Carolina. By the time he was five, he already knew how to shoot a rifle. By eight he'd been hunting, and blooded. By ten he knew exactly wanted to be when he grew up. He wanted to be a Marine. Just like his daddy. And he granddaddy. And his great-granddaddy. By twelve he was already making sure that he was keeping is mind just as honed as his body was.

His "good boy" status followed him into his teenage years, too. He was an excellent athlete (preferring baseball and football) and he was his class's salutatorian. At the first available chance, he joined his high school's ROTC program. He had a plan, after all. He was very dilligent and had made Cadet Lieutenant Colonel by the time he graduated. With a glowing recommendation letter from his commanding officer, he applied to and was accepted into the United States Naval Academy. There was on slight hiccup, however. Three months before graduation, his girlfriend told him that she was pregnant. After many discussion between each other and their parents, it was decided that she would move up to Maryland with him. Late July the young couple was moving up to Maryland and a few months later (December 25, 1996) they welcomed twins into the world: a boy named Christian (older by 15 minutes) and a girl named Amelia. Unfortunately the couple didn't make it past Logan's third year at the Academy.

He graduated the Academy with a major in Aerospace Engineering and a summa cum laude distinction. He immediately went into the United States Marine Corps as an Officer with the rank of Second Lieutenant. He spent the next nearly twenty years rising through the ranks. Upon reaching First Lieutenant, he applied to the Scout Snipers and spent the next four years as a sniper. Upon his promotion to Captain, he was recommended for Force Recon. He spent the rest of his career on the Recon team. While he did take part in green ops, black ops were his specialty. At 39, after 21 years of service (including his time at the USNA), he retired (much to his father's chagrin) from the Corps. He'd obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and he felt that he'd served long enough.

Upon returning to the States, he had a sit down with his folks, letting them know that he wanted to now that he was a civilian. It wasn't like he could just get a boring desk job. Oh no. During his last couple of years in the Corps, he'd been thinking a lot about what to do once he was out. And he finally settled on a private security firm. That was how Koch Security was formed. He settled in Las Vegas prior to starting. Nearly two years after taking on his first client and a lot of word of mouth (his military career was amazing and spoke volumes), the firm was going well. Not only were they actively sought after for hot zone security, they provided security to many of the cities hotels and casinos, and they were always sought after when A-listers and high profile people came into town. In early 2020, he opened a gym (Koch Fitness).

Koch Security focuses on personal, private, and commercial security. There is a smaller portion of the business that provides security details to civilians when they have to go into warzones (and the military can't, or won't, offer protection). Most security personnel that is hired is former military, and only those that have a military background are assigned to the warzone assignments.

❖ Despite his love (and ownership) of firearms, he's a firm believer in gun control / safety.
❖ Has never been married. Has no plans of getting married.
❖ Is an excellent cook.
❖ Learning to garden. Currently has a small garden set up in his back yard.
❖ Proud owner of a 1966 Shelby GT350H, 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and a 1977 Harley-Davidson XLCR Cafe Racer.
